I grew up in Brooklyn NY, in an area called Sheepshead Bay. It was a 2 mile walk to Coney Island and the Beach.

I was one of five children, born and raised into a loving Italian American family.

I went to “Our Lady of Grace”, a Catholic elementary school on Avenue W and East 2nd Street.

My father Raymond  who is now 94 was a carpenter, cabinet maker, and owned a custom kitchen finishing business where my brothers and I learned the ins and outs of preparing and finishing all kinds of woods and metals.

I chose to go to John Dewey High School. A new experimental high school in Brooklyn, based on the teaching of John Dewey. Mr. Dewey was an educator and philosopher who proved that children learn at different rates and if they love a subject, they can learn as much as they can, as fast as they can. He was a very wise man.

I loved art and excelled in it. I had a natural talent inherited from my mother , Virgina who help all of us be creative. I learned all that the wonderful teachers of John Dewey HS could teach me. I was a spong and encouraged to enrolled in summer art school programs at colleges like Pratt College, Cooper Union and The Brooklyn Museum of Art School where I fed my love of, Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Photography, Print making , Stained Glass, and Welding.

My passion and talent won me one of twelve full scholarships to “The School of Visual Arts” (SVA) in New York City . Where I graduated from with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree (BFA) the summer of 1977.

While in college I worked for Plenum Publishing in New York City and became a skilled graphic artist.

I had a dreamed of riding a motorcycle while illustrating my way across the United States of America. So in the summer of 1977 after I graduated SVA, I  did just that, and rode a 1974 Harley Davidson FLH  I had rebuilt, across the USA like I had dreamed. When I arrived in southern California I decided I love it too much to not stay, and there is where I live today.

I have been an artist & graphic designer for over 35 years now, and have had the pleasure to design and create many wonderful pieces and products. I still ride a Harley & love to ride and capture images of my travels for future art works .

I have developed a passion for restoring old cars, motorcycles and furniture and building of many things out of metal and wood. I like to  recreate using recycled items into new usable products and Art. I have acquired the nickname of “McGiver” from my friends because of this.

Please enjoy, and let me know what you like.
